people double down right when a channel, platform, or niche is on its way out. but being early to exit is as valuable as being early to enter.

what's something you stayed in too long before you realized it was done?

I stayed too long on methods that stopped evolving. Sometimes moving early is the real advantage.

yeah, and the painful part is you usually know earlier than you admit and exit

Knowing when to fold 'em is crucial in our line of work, and it's something that takes experience to develop. I've seen people cling to a strategy or platform long after it's stopped performing, and it's usually because they've got too much emotional investment. In my experience, the key is to stay detached and keep a close eye on the metrics - when the numbers start to slip, it's time to reassess and consider a pivot. What I've noticed is that it's often the little things that signal a decline, like a gradual drop in engagement or a shift in user behavior. When you catch those early warning signs, it's a lot easier to make a smooth exit and move on to greener pastures. It's all about being willing to let go and adapt to the changing landscape.
