Been doing some research on crypto niche link building and noticed huge pricing inconsistencies across publishers. Curious what others are paying or charging.

From what I've seen:

  • DR 40–50, ~80–200K traffic: $100–300
  • DR 50–65, ~200K–500K traffic: $300–600
  • DR 65–80, ~500K–1.3M traffic: $600–1,500+

Are these ranges accurate in your experience? Finding that direct publisher outreach is significantly cheaper than going through marketplaces like PRposting or Collaborator. Anyone else finding the same?

Direct publisher outreach is usually much cheaper than marketplaces, since platforms often add a big markup.

Based on the ranges you found, it seems like you're already in the know, and yes, direct outreach is always cheaper than using those ridiculous marketplaces

Thanks for your response. Do you think the prices above are fair? Just trying to assess the market dynamics and how rates are decided.

If you doing manual outreach then you can save some bucks, If you are finding these websites on link building platforms then the prices will be higher due to the platform's cut so its better to outreach them manually. Rates are decided on multiple factors as well which are

  1. Do the website have real organic traffic?
  2. Do their backlinks profile is genuine or have some hidden pbn, or 301 redirects?
  3. Do they properly update the content on the websites?
  4. Number of referring domains vs number of linked domains?
  5. Website's anchor profile
  6. Traffic Graph is GSC or Ahrefs!

There are multiple other factors but I highlighted some main factors above!

Thanks for your response. So it's a multitude of factors that you have highlighted above, understood. Does having niche authority also significantly impacts the final rate?

Absolutely it does. If the prospect website has already an authority in terms of topical authority it means that it already has real organic traffic & it is ranking well. Organic traffic plays a vital role in link building as well.

Based on the provided information, the pricing ranges for guest posts on crypto sites with DR 40-80 and 80K-1.3M traffic seem generally accurate, with direct publisher outreach often offering more cost-effective options compared to marketplaces. It's a smart strategy to compare prices and explore direct outreach for potentially better deals in the crypto link-building space

The price range you proposed is quite reasonable, but it could be even lower if you contacted the suppliers directly.

In crypto guest posting, pricing is often misunderstood because people still overvalue DR while ignoring real organic traffic.
From a practical standpoint, a DR number alone doesn’t reflect the actual value of a placement. What matters is whether the site has consistent, real traffic and an active audience in the niche.

At that point, pricing like $1,000+ for a placement on a site with ~1M real monthly visitors is completely reasonable — even expected — as long as the traffic is genuine and relevant. In many cases, that level of exposure is worth more than dozens of low-traffic “high DR” sites.
The key is simple: prioritize live organic traffic over DR.

bro crypto guest post pricing is always high due to the niche risk but your ranges are accurate directly reaching out to site owners instead of using middlemen marketplaces will easily save you fifty percent or more on those high authority links
