Is Twitter becoming more “pay-to-play” with visibility?

It's on purpose. This is how all these social media platform make money. It should not be a surprise.

Feels more pay to play than before yeah especially for newer accounts. Verified accounts and people already getting engagement seem to get pushed harder now. Organic reach still exists but random viral growth feels less consistent.

Organic reach feels inconsistent compared to before.
Are ads slowly influencing distribution?
Yes ads slowly are gaining the upper hand on X. Elon wants to make money what did you know? Surprise surprise haha ! :)

Buy x premium and this is my stat for new account. Just post 2 videos per day, adult niche. Increase so much impression

You can still reach people without paying, but you can also pay so your content more visible.

Reaching people without paying is becoming almost impossible these days. And it's obviously by design to get more people to subscribe for X premium.

Yes, Twitter's algorithm definitely seems to be favoring paid promotion over organic reach, making it increasingly difficult for users, especially those without ad budgets, to get their content seen. Basically, unless you're willing to pay, your tweets are probably just shouting into the void

That's not my experience using x. What i see is there are less "big" accounts. You know those accounts that used to get all the engagement, and everyone else lived in their replies. Now everyone gets reach whether it's a reply or Tweet
