reddit comments, trustpilot reviews, google reviews, social media comments, product reviews on marketplaces...everything is biased, tons of affiliates, self promotion, astroturfing, bots, fake reviews, at this point I don't trust anything related to it, even aged accounts that may seem legit and human, it can be all faked

Trustpilot is important but it depends on your niche. If you are a app service most important reviews are in Google Apps / App Store.
If you are a local service most important could be Google reviews. You should simply ensure positive reviews in places where users are looking for you.

Trustpilot is still useful, but I would not trust ratings alone anymore. These days, many companies buy fake positive reviews, so it is better to check Reddit discussions, Google reviews, and real user experiences as well. If the same feedback appears across multiple platforms, it is usually a much better sign that the service is actually reliable.

Yes many people still check trustpilot before buying a service, especially for online businesses. but now people also compare reddit, google reviews and social proof because fake reviews are more common than before.

Honestly, I never trusted them, but for some reason I visited there anyway. My last visit was a decade ago, lol.
