I want to grow PB page and by proxy advertise our saas. 12 followers is what I got there.

Thinking to just scout semi large influencers to start sharing my stuff stricte promotional so the audience coming in knows what they sign up for and from there post value.

Is there even any point to start just posting and hoping for the best or its needed to pay someone to get an initial boost?

You can use X ads more effectively I believe, and you also have CONTROL over who sees your content and how to "guide" them to your money offer/service. Large influencers are fine to use but there IS a possibility that they might scam you off your money (after all you can't trust people from the iternet). Also posting from an account prespective, even if the account is a huge influencer, yields minimal rewards/traffiic nowadays so that's another reason I suggest you go with X's ads.

Will running ads early on even make sense and not destroy any potential organic reach or ?

You should run ads after you have warmed up the account for at least 1 month. Ads don't destroy your organic reach/traffic, however they will work in conjuction with it.

My recommendation is to strengthen your profile first (bots, views).

Then run advertisements. All platforms have made advertising much easier now.
That’s why instead of paying someone else, you can do it yourself as well.

X Ads is fine for your project, Elon is hunting down on bot traffics, the right target audience with a relatable tweet gets your product seen on the comment section of viral tweets and on users feeds.

Building your presence is tough, but you're on the right track with focusing on promotion and value. Paying for an initial boost might help get you seen faster, but make sure you're still creating good content to keep people engaged long-term
