Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice from people who have experience selling small online businesses / digital assets.
I currently own a social media growth platform that has been operating for around 8 years, it sells services such as followers, likes, views and engagement packages across multiple social platforms.
The business is not huge, but it is profitable and very lean:
Annual profit: around €29k–€31k
Average monthly profit: around €2.5k
Profit margin: around 95%
Around 1,400+ orders in the last 12 months and 7,000+ historical clients/users
16k Instagram followers connected to the brand
Organic traffic and very low fixed costs
The business is currently operated manually: when an order comes in, I purchase the service from suppliers at a much lower cost and fulfill it. For example, some services can be bought for under €1 and resold for several euros. The margins are very high, but the main upside for a buyer would probably be automation.
I already listed it on a marketplace, but I’m trying to understand what the best route would be to find the right buyer. I feel this could be interesting for someone who already operates in the SMM space, because they could plug in supplier APIs, automate fulfillment, improve the funnel and scale it much more than I currently do.
Where would you try to sell this type of business besides the usual marketplaces?
Would you approach competitors / agencies / SMM panel owners directly?
I’m not necessarily looking for a broker, more for practical advice from people who have bought or sold similar small digital businesses.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
