best subreddits to build "natural" karma for niche accounts?

I'm preparing a few accounts for a gambling project and need to build some solid karma first. The problem is that most "karma farm" subs are flagged and useless.
Where do u guys hang out to get natural engagement? is it better to just comment on popular news threads or find small niche communities? Also, how much post karma is "safe" before I start dropping niche-related threads? would love to hear some workflow tips

Don’t use “free karma” subs. The best subreddit in my opinion for new accounts to gain karma (quickly) is just AskReddit.

People literally spam that sub with stupid questions. Just post as many semi-thoughtful answers as you can and within a week you should gain the karma you need. I recommend at least +100 comment karma, but 300 if you want to be extra safe. That should give you access near every sub. There are a few here and there that require 500/1000+ but honestly wouldn’t worry about them.
 
Building natural karma for your niche accounts is totally doable! I think you should try commenting on popular news threads and also find small niche communities to boost engagement before you start dropping those niche threads

Smaller niche subs also help, but spreading activity across mainstream communities first makes your account look authentic.
 
While you gain karma, you should also keep the account safe. The algorithm does account assessment based on your experience in niches. So, if your interests align with that of spammers or scammers, you might draw unwanted attention. For example, an account that has interest in cats and crypto draws more attention than that of business, tech, news, and crypto. Find subs that align with your broader interests and grow accounts through them instead of regular hobby, interest, or entertainment subs.

If I plan to post about casinos in the future, would it be better for me to start building up my account in that area straight away?

There are 2 sides to casinos - gambling, addiction, financial problems, etc. and business, online income, beer money, etc. You should pick the later as you want to engage with the positive side of gambling. There are many MMO subs. You can join them and grow accounts to eventually promote casino links. It aligns with your interests. But there will always be edge cases like people reporting your comments, mods hiding your posts, violating any rules, etc. So, you should keep an eye on them. You can also limit your promotional activity like 1 in 5 or 10 posts to avoid hitting flags.

A salesman promotes content because it's his job. A normal person promotes content because he finds value in it. Keep your accounts close to a normal person and focus on positive aspects of a product or service and advantages over competitors instead of just spamming links. People promoting VPNs even write stories as personal experiences to blend in. It's not necessary for black hat niches but blending in really helps.

comment on popular threads for visibility and contribute in smaller subs for deeper engagement. Don’t rush niche posts until your account feels established.
 
Find communities related to your niche posting useful comments there helps karma and credibility. and make sure your your comments are genuine.

i would say the best way to build karma is to stay active in subreddits where people naturally discuss general topics
