I'm probably not the last person driven crazy by virtual credit cards.

I'd like to know what incredibly frustrating problems everyone has encountered while using virtual credit cards.

Wdym exactly? Depends on the context. I use VCCs for two things:
  1. Everyday shopping. Sometimes providers block accounts even over tiny spends (like buying a pack of smokes, lol) and demand KYC or proof of income. Always check reviews first.
  2. Media buying. Whole different ball game. I skip standard multi-currency bank cards, don't like 'em. There are tons of specialized ad payment services recommended here on the forum or private ones. Right now, I'm just sticking to my usual adpaycards for ads.
Do you mean that you are not currently using a virtual card for payments?

Nah, quite the opposite, I am using virtual cards! I just meant I don't use standard VCCs from regular personal banks. I use specialized virtual cards made specifically for media buying.

Frustrating part

..normal virtual cards are beginning to request OTP which is usually connected to org phone or email, especially for no kyc virtual cards causing delays or declines

Available mcc for virtual cards and cards generally globally got reduced due to geo restrictions

Kyc more stringent than before ,
Platform like Google and FB more strict
FB won't even send codes for certain virtual cards

More and more platform now requires confirmation to charge a virtual card especially using the transaction code Auth method

Picking a provider was an ordeal way back when until I found the one I used. Might have been the hardest part to do with VCCs, it was thankfully smooth for most parts after. You experiencing a specific sort of error or what?

It's so annoying how VCC's have a 50% chance of not working for websites like OpenAI, Netflix etc.

I lost the interest in using VCC once i had to receive OTP to complete the transaction, that OTP has never received.. And too many controls on using Virtual cards on certain merchants.

I feel you, but honestly, the missing OTP issue is usually a geo-match problem rather than a bad card. Merchants are getting super strict lately. If there's a mismatch between your account country, proxy IP, and the card's BIN country, the processing system will often just silently drop the OTP instead of showing an explicit error.

I noticed that when I run a clean EU proxy + EU account + EU card, everything goes through smoothly. But the moment I mix a US account with an EU card, the OTP never arrives. Try to always match your account geo, proxy, and card BIN it fixes 90% of these verification bugs.
