Honestly, stop wasting time on Upwork etc..How do I market for a freelancer who is an AI automation engineer and website developer? I don't know what to do, I'm out of ideas
Thank you, Shring. I agree with you, and I've actually done that with most of my services. I change the angle of common offerings, such as creating WordPress sites or scraping lead details, to more appealing and trendy names. I do implement AI features, but updating the names and approach makes a significant difference. I'm currently working on the video aspect to showcase this. I usually create the video when the client is almost ready to make a payment, just to close the deal. Thank you.Honestly, stop wasting time on Upwork etc..They’re flooded with standard web devs, and cheap clients there have zero idea what AI automation actually costs.
A few things that worked for guys in my network:
Shift your angle from "I build websites" to "I automate business headaches with AI" and you'll see a huge difference.
- Productize your dev work. Don't sell "website development." Sell "AI Customer Support Bot for Shopify stores" for a fixed price. Clients buy solutions, not hours.
- Cold Loom videos. Find local agencies or e-com stores, build a tiny 1-minute AI automation proof-of-concept for them, record a quick Loom, and DM the owner. Converts like crazy because it proves you actually know your stuff.
- Post on AI-specific platforms. Instead of fighting standard freelancers, list your scripts and custom gigs on platforms dedicated purely to AI. Try checking out BIS0N (make sure to type it as bis0n.com with a zero 0). It’s a niche marketplace built specifically for AI automation, datasets, and AI freelance work. The clients there are actively hunting for AI devs, so you won't have to explain why AI costs more than a $50 WordPress site...

A good starting point is to stop marketing the person as simply an AI automation engineer and website developer and instead market the outcome they provide. How do I market for a freelancer who is an AI automation engineer and website developer? I don't know what to do, I'm out of ideas
