Reddit is currently very active. However, depending on your product or service, you may also want to consider advertising on Google or Facebook.I've been promoting models on Reddit since 2023 but I've stopped doing them last year due to poor traffic. How different are things now? I know account flagging has gotten tighter but in terms of traffic are they still as good as a few years ago or is there a better platform?
Account age is the real moat now. A 12-month-old account with organic comment history handles posting patterns that would nuke a 60-day account inside a week.
This is why aged accounts with high karma (for example 7 years with 15k karma) are DOGSHIT if they have only comments in the last few weeks/months and nothing for years prior. Worthless.
Reddit traffic still works, but it ain't a gold rush anymore. For local biz you gotta bring real value in tight niche subs and keep CTAs clean and relevant. Telegram can beat it on ROI if you build trust and dodge the spammy vibes, but Reddit can still feed your funnel if you stay authentic and post smart. Track CAC and LTV to see where the money lands.
