I have been experimenting with different content formats on LinkedIn like text posts, carousels, and short videos. Which format is currently driving the most meaningful engagement and why? Are storytelling posts still outperforming informational content in today's algorithm?

There’s no single best format. Carousels get more saves and reach, while storytelling text posts get better comments and engagement. Videos work if they quickly grab attention. A mix of formats usually works best.

As a beginner, I think LinkedIn can still work for organic growth if you stay active. Simple text posts and small stories seem to get more engagement. I’ve tried other formats, but results are mixed. I feel like keeping it real and consistent is the key.

Carousels and short videos drive the most reach, while storytelling posts build the strongest trust and engagement.

Text engagement is actually growing (+12% YoY)800–1000 word posts often perform best

this question gets asked 100x a week - yes its still ok for organic growth .

LinkedIn is totally still worth it for organic growth if you're doing it right, honestly, short native videos and authentic storytelling posts are crushing it

it is still worth it for organic growth, with storytelling text posts and insight-driven content generally outperforming pure informational posts because they spark more comments, saves, and conversation.

Linke*dIn is totally still a goldmine for organic growth! Based on what's trending, short videos and engaging carousels are killing it right now, because they grab attention and keep people scrolling longer than just plain text

LinkedIn's organic growth potential still exists, and you're on the right track experimenting with different content formats. While it's hard to definitively say which format is best universally, storytelling often creates more engagement, but the most effective approach depends on your specific audience and content

From what I’ve seen, storytelling + valuable insights still perform best because they keep people reading and commenting naturally.
Carousels are great for reach and saves, while short videos help with visibility. But meaningful engagement usually comes from relatable experiences mixed with useful information.

OK... I'll say one thing... it's about trying and failing to get it right.

People/bots responding to a banned account thread is hilarious...

Yes, the irony of me posting in said post is mildy amusing to......

LinkedIn still works for organic reach if the content feels human and experience based. Storytelling posts usually outperform pure informational content because they trigger more comments and dwell time. Carousels still do well too but only when they teach something fast without feeling corporate.
