I was reading a forum, digging up some info about US Sim cards and I decided to share my experience here about trying to reach a US TikTok market. Maybe it helps someone or sparks a good discussion, as I've been dealing with this for a couple months now.

I started off with a iPhone 6s+ and 7. For these two iphones me and a buddy of mine ordered a "j1sim" sim card ( which you can get for free ). We fully resetted the phones and bought a US iCloud ( a few actually ) from "***", which we used to login on both of the phones ( an icloud can be used on 2 devices simultaneosly ). We used a one time US Phone Number from "textverified" for any phone verifications. The 6s was setup through home wifi ( I live in central europe ) and the 7 through sharing mobile data. Both reached the US Market instantaneously - I knew this by comparing the feed to the previously 2 Failed attempts at reaching the US TikTok market on the iPhone 6s, which I tried to achieve by removing the Sim card and setting up a Static Residential Proxy on the iPhone. However, Since the 6s+ and 7 are older phones, they tend to not do as well on TikTok.

We're now at the point where we have an iPhone 11, 12mini and 13+. Here's where the issues started. We ordered a 10pack of US Sim Cards, which were AT&T Prepaid kind ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q7GMZ6D?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details - Dead link now ). I'm not sure what the deal is with these but none of them seem to work. I was in charge of setting up the 12mini, which I tried 4 different times, using mobile data, wifi, I switched sim's inbetween each other as I've got 10, I turned off iPhones closeby, etc. Nothing worked. Somehow the device still finds my location in the first second. I got lucky the last time, where it didn't suggest any language or location after a full reset. But still after having created a New iCloud with a US Gmail ( also logged in from a multilogin browser with a US ISP Proxy ) and verified with a US Phone Number ( most of which was not needed with the 6s+ and 7, but I went the extra mile to make sure ). Still no luck. I open TikTok and the feed is from my country. I even tried setting up a VPN / Proxy using Potatso beforehand.

Anyways, what I did now was ask anyone I could to order a j1sim card for me and tried to do it for each of my family members myself, hopefully it works. I believe that the problem is in the Sim cards. I also got some info that Prepaid T-Mobile sim cards from amazon work well, but they're pricey so I'm trying "j1sim" first. Oh and the AT&T ones were bought from an amazon seller called "USA Sim Solutions".

Anyway, I hope this sparks some buzz as I'd love to get a discussion going and keep ya'll up to date if interested, learn something new and connect even. If anyone had a similar problem or can give some valuable advice - <3
