Travel has already become like luxury symbol now. Rich people who own large amounts of crypto would love to spend there crypto on travel. If some crypto coin had partnerships with leading airlines or hotel company, it can really boost adoption. Even then , no coin has done it . Am I missing anything ?

You can find many token did that. I don't remember the name of that project. Last year, I bought NFT from that project and sent it to thier dapp and I got a discount for the hotel and plane ticket. You just only do it once. In my opinion, the collaboration of travel and crypto is so hard to do. The projects have to spend a lot of money for airlines company or the hotels. This could be possible if big travel agency companies got into the game.

Another way to handle this is to find a model that offramp crypto to fiat
Serving as a middle man

I think the main platforms are already implementing this

But many big crypto coins already have huge market cap.

Yeah, still possible to do that. As I said, we should have a lot of data about the hotel or the tour in every single country. I have an idea: the audience will buy a card membership or the native token. When they use the card or native token, they will have a discount for booking

Do you have plan to launch such a coin ?

Why should I waive the insurance and miles payment by credit card gives me? At the airport and hotel reception you'll still need an ID and credit card. Crypto is just a pain and burden.

What if using crypto gives more benefits ? I know many are unfamiliar with it but we should be flexible for change always.

Crypto would need to have at least the same benefits as there are in place with real currencies and payment methods. Today, it is just expensive, volatile, slow and full of risk. Nothing for travel for sure.

You’re not missing much. Some travel platforms already accept crypto via payment gateways, but major airlines and hotel chains prefer intermediaries due to regulatory constraints, volatility, and accounting issues. That’s why we haven’t seen a major “coin + airline” partnership yet

Travel and crypto are actually moving closer together — especially in luxury and international travel.

The challenge isn’t demand. It’s regulation, accounting, fraud protection, and how traditional airlines/hotels are structured financially.

But adoption is already happening:
• Travala
• Alternative Airlines
• CheapAir
• AirBaltic
• Virgin Galactic

all support crypto payments in some form.

At Leviamice, we’ve seen that some travelers — especially entrepreneurs, remote founders, digital nomads, and crypto holders — prefer borderless payment options when booking experiences globally.

Crypto may not replace cards anytime soon, but as stablecoins and regulated crypto payments mature, travel is one of the industries where adoption makes the most sense:
fast global payments, fewer currency barriers, and access for international clients.

It’s less about replacing traditional payments and more about giving travelers more flexibility.

Because it doesn’t really solve anything, traveling is already easy enough to pay for through fiat. There’s some crypto cards you could use as cc’s though, which would pretty much work as you described.

Some companies are actually doing that, although the adoption rate isn't very high.
I often see them giving away discount vouchers for hotel rooms and airline tickets.

Regulations and volatility keep partnerships slow for big travel companies.
