is it this normal or just with me ?

they do someting bad like black hat seo or another reason is too much competition in your niche. You have to identity exact reason behind that than look for a better solution

This is called ranking fluctuation, totally normal especially for newer sites or fresh SEO work, Google takes time to settle a page in its final position, give it 2 to 4 weeks before worrying, 3rd page is not bad if it was jumping to 1st recently.

Website rankings can go up and down, especially for new sites. Consistent SEO and good content help keep it stable.

Absolutely. Ranking volatility is normal, especially on newer domains where Google is still testing trust and relevance signals. Small fluctuations don’t always mean something is wrong.

What usually stabilizes rankings over time is consistency publishing useful content, improving internal linking, and keeping the site technically clean. Common mistake is making major SEO changes every time rankings dip slightly, which can create even more instability.

Actually i pay to agency for the SEO of my website and for 1-2 days my website ranks on first page but after 1-2 days now its ranking on 3rd page, is there any specific reason for that ? usually my assistant handle this part but unfortunately he is on holidays so i manage by self, i have interest in this field but i don't face such situation before, usually i pay to agency and my website stays on first page but this is first website on which i face this, i don't know the reason, is this something you faced before ?

No agency can permanently stick your website to the first page they don't own or lease the top 10 spots on Google. Rankings fluctuate constantly based on optimization, strategy, competition, algorithm updates, and many other factors.

What you're experiencing is completely normal, especially on a competitive keyword. A 1st to 3rd page drop in a day or two usually indicates one of the following:

1. Competitors are actively optimizing and pushing harder
2. Google is still evaluating the page's authority and relevance

Consistent first-page rankings require ongoing effort, not a one-time fix.

Yes, this is actually very common. Google may give a temporary ranking boost to a newly indexed or optimized page to see how engaging or relevant the information might be to users, and then make adjustments to the rankings.

It could be because your user engagement is very low and Google doesn't want to keep your website on the first page. You need to study the data to see if your site is better than that of your competitors, your content is engaging, spikes due to sudden growth in interest on specific topics, etc.

It could be due to a silent algorithm update. You should check if it stays at no.3 and contact your agency to solve this matter immediately. If the site returns to no.1 position after a couple of days and no work has been done on it, it means that either Google was testing your site, or Google had an algorithm change.

Google temporarily "tests" new content at a higher position . this is called the Google Dance. If your site is new or competitors have stronger authority, rankings drop back down after a day or two. Ask your agency whether they're building backlinks as well, or just doing on-page SEO.
