Transfer YouTube videos to TikTok

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and got a quick question about transferring my YouTube videos to TikTok. If I transfer all of my YouTube videos to TikTok, will I monetize once I reach 10,000 followers? Or will TikTok not accept videos from YouTube?

Don't want to waste my time transferring all of my YouTube videos to TikTok and not get monetize.

They will not accept.

Before you do monetization, they are going to use second verification for all your videos, more careful
It's more than standard TIkTok copyright check
 
TikTok's "Creativity Program" is very strict about unoriginal content. Even if it's your own video, if it’s already indexed on YouTube, TikTok might flag it as "low effort." Always re-edit significantly before posting.

I am a very small YouTube creator with only 1.663M subs. I started YouTube in 2024. I believe my total views on my channel is 1.3B views and gaining over 1M views per day.

You can still re-upload videos from YouTube to TikTok, but making money from them isn't that simple. TikTok prioritizes original content, so re-uploaded videos often have reduced distribution and are harder to monetize. If you want to reach 10,000 followers and earn a stable income, you should edit, cut, and add your own content instead of simply re-uploading the original.
 
They will accept they; however make sure that you change the hash and meta data of the images so they show up as "unique". That way it can get good exposure without being labeled as a repost which sometimes might not get as many views as a videos that appears "unique"
 
Yes, you can monetize, but there is a major "catch" regarding how you do it. TikTok’s 2026 guidelines for the Creator Rewards Program are very strict about what they call "unoriginal content.

if u just re upload raw youtube clips, tiktok algorithm will likely flag them as unoriginal content, which kills ur chances for the creator rewards program even if u hit 10k follower

It is not advisable to directly repost videos that have already been published on YouTube to TikTok. There is a possibility that TikTok has already indexed these videos; consequently, even if you are the original creator, you could still face accusations of plagiarism. My recommendation is to publish new videos simultaneously on both platforms. This allows you to reach a wider audience while laying the groundwork for accumulating 10,000 followers on TikTok. Once you have met this 10,000-follower threshold, we can then turn our attention to monetization strategies.
 
There could be some issues in getting the monetization in the beginning. Do fresh new videos on Tiktok to easily get the monetization.
 
It's entirely possible, to make the transfer easier without creating a completely new one. However, you'll still need to adjust it to fit TikTok because YouTube is horizontal while TikTok is vertical. And the file size will have to be reduced to fit, since TikTok is still a platform for "fast food" consumption.

1. The videos must be in a vertical format for optimal results.

2. The content must be your own creation, not taken from other creators.

If both conditions are met, then go ahead and do it.
 
You could still be able to make money on TikTok with your YouTube content. However, you do need to take a look at the community guidelines of TikTok Creator Program, It will help you avoid unnecessary issues in the future with unexpected reason.

One more important thing is how you put your content together for TikTok, since each platforms has a certain behaviour from the audience, you should really focus on making sure you have done your homework with TikTok tips to really graps TikTok viewers attention so you could gain a consistent number of views first.
 
You can repost YouTube videos to TikTok, but to qualify for monetization it's better to edit them into original short-form content since reused videos may limit eligibility and reach.
 
Reposting your YouTube videos on TikTok is not automatically a problem, but it also doesn’t guarantee monetization and can actually slow down growth if done incorrectly.
 
It's acceptable if you create the video yourself and no one else copies it. However, if you want the video to be approved faster, add other scenes and rearrange them to meet TikTok's requirements; then you can achieve your goal.

Tik Tok cares very much about the originality of your content and if you do this you are going to get your account on Tik Tok at least shadow banned if not outrightly completely banned.
