Yeah, it's a bit tough at this moment to grow X accounts.

It's a bit of the same things that need doing as before, just a bit harder or your approach to them need to modernise.
Leaning into niche relevant or topical posts, engagements have far more weight to them especially with replies, consistency, and etc.
People who treat it like a conversation platform tend to grow faster than those just broadcasting.

Yeah its harder now algo favors replies and engagement not just posts. You gotta comment a lot on big accounts or you stay stuck

The best way to grow is through connecting with your target audience with the biggest impact possible. I've been on there since 2009. Its always hard in the beginning. Giving away free things works well. These days the hot topic is anything related to Ai so apply it to your niche or piggyback off the hot trending topic at that moment. Joining in conversations and adding to them in a constructive way works well. Simply following everyone in your niche or targeting the leaders then following their followers. Like i was taught by Ryan deiss and perry belcher way back around 2010 STILL does work in 2026. Right now you can follow up close to 400 accounts per day but if your gonna do that make it random. They are more aggressive these days banning bots. Then later you can prune the list. i would avoid 3rd party liking services to boost your numbers unless you dont mind churning through accounts. A few will survive most likely. There is an account i started in august 2025. Its currently at 49k followers. Numbers dont matter though as much as engagement and quality CTR on links. I've had acocunts with under 5k followers that have outperformed 100k accounts in terms of $ its brought in which is what really matters.

That's right. If you aren't careful, your account will be suspended.

The organic game is pretty much dead. If you want to scale now, you either have to go the "Mother-Child" route with a solid set of mobile/4G proxies to fly under the radar, or focus heavily on high-quality engagement automation.

Automation works well for twitter, but it's pretty costly

The algorithm is such a nightmare right now and feels way more pay-to-play than it used to be. You've gotta stop obsessing over raw numbers and just focus on building a genuine community

It really is. Between the shifting algorithms and the sheer amount of noise, the organic grind feels like a full-time job lately. Just gotta keep testing what sticks!
