For properties generally,I feels it's aways hard maintaining them ( vintage)
and keeping the real looks since everyone now seems to be on screen
The LA and HK skyline seems to be loved by the gen Zs only
 
Personally I think vintage design is just becoming a luxury. The people who can afford to maintain it properly will keep it alive. Everyone else defaults to modern because it's cheaper, easier and photographs better.
 
Traditional design are our root. modern design become bored soon but old becomes special edition. example vintage car / bike
 
There should be incentive in maintaining a ratio that consists of both. I think in the near future there will be money allocated to not just maintaining older structures but also building new ones that perhaps even prioritise beauty over utility. Too much modern looks like a dystopian hellscape and too much traditional looks archaic, impractical etc
