I posted a thread asking about something and noticed that most of AI and spam comment are from accounts that are created in 2026 so I made this chrome extension to hide any post or comments made by new account created in 2026

This way I will avoid at least 90% of AI and spam
I can tweak it to hide all comments from account that have less than x posts
what do you think?

Certainly a good idea! If you exclude accounts with less than 10 posts, and accounts that have not made at least 5 comments 30 days old, you should see some interesting results! Its one of the ways I filter accounts when it comes to free review copies/test funds.

Though on that note, have noticed spike in BHW profiles that suddenly experience a spike in A.I-like activity, that were created years ago, accounts that previously had like 2 posts or less.
 
They should impose a posting limit on new accounts:
  • <3 months - can read only
  • 4-6 months - can post 1-3 comments a month
  • +7 months - you can post new threads
  • +1 year - regular user

Realistically this should be easy to develop and implement.

I made this account years ago, and have just recently decided to make an effort engaging on the forums in order to gain more permissions and also contribute to the community. The majority of my posts get flagged as AI and are removed. It's frustrating however it appears there is a genuine infestation of AI posting here and it's causing a commotion and a disturbance.

Has anyone identified any plausible reasons as to why these bots are flooding to the site?
 
The idea is awesome man, even though i would have my post hidden. Usually if i need any service here on bhw i always look for older users with many posts, but not all people know that.
 
This AI crap is unbearable, in the past I used to report these users, but like 80% of what I read here nowadays seems like some shitty free AI API generated stuff... Seriously unbearable, and I think something needs to change. Like 5$ one-time fee required to make new posts.
