Proxy test showing mixed results, Is it safe to use?

Hi,
I'm testing proxies and showing mixed results on different tools. one shows a WebRTC leak, but others still says proxy isn't detected.

Does that mean it is still safe to use or can a WebRTC leak cause issues later?

If there’s a WebRTC leak, I wouldn’t really trust it tbh. Even if some tools say your proxy looks fine, WebRTC can still leak your real IP in certain situations. It might seem okay right now, but it could bite you later, especially if you care about privacy. I’d just disable WebRTC or fix the leak to be safe.

Mixed results like that usually mean the setup isn’t fully consistent.
A WebRTC leak can expose your real IP even if the proxy itself looks fine on other tests, so it’s something to take seriously. Some tools just don’t check the same things, which is why you’re seeing different results.

webrtc leaks are on the application and not on the proxy. for most automation tasks its fine but if its browser based, u will need to disable webrtc before fixing your proxy detection score

Isnt webrtc leak an application issue rather than proxy issue.? this needs to be handled by the Anti detect browser, in my opinion

In most cases, WebRTC leaks do NOT come from the proxy itself, they happen on the proxy client side (antidetect browser, ...). WebRTC is outside of proxy’s controls.

If you want to fully eliminate WebRTC leaks, either carefully configure your antidetect browser or “wrap” your whole machine in a router that’s connected to the proxy.

If your proxy has WebRTC leaks, it’s no longer really trustworthy because WebRTC can expose your real IP address. Once a proxy starts leaking WebRTC, you should be very careful since websites can still identify your actual connection even when using a proxy.

Most of the time WebRTC leaks are a browser or antidetect issue, not the proxy itself. That’s why some tools still show “clean” while others detect your real IP. The risk is that even one leak can expose your real IP and break session consistency, so it’s not something to ignore. What usually helps:
  • Disable or control WebRTC in your browser/antidetect setup
  • Don’t rely on a single proxy test tool
  • Keep proxy location and browser fingerprint aligned
  • Avoid mixing sessions or profiles
