Within China, it is not the case. Baidu still enjoys the largest market share cross different platforms, say, over 50%, though the trust level is indeed low.
Nowadays, people go to some vertical sites/ Apps, such as RED Notebook / xiaohongshu, Douyin, Zhihu, Bilibili to find dedicated content rather than Baidu it.
Outside China, Baidu is tiny, which is true.

If your audience is in China, I'd look for companies with proven Baidu ranking and Baidu PPC experience.

For the Chinese market, I would suggest partnering with a company that specializes in Baidu SEO. Experience with Google SEO alone doesn't always translate well to Baidu's ecosystem and ranking algorithms.
