What's up guys? I have a quick question if someone has done this before.

I have Verified BM, I have a CRM, I have Whatsapp API Numbers connected.

I have the template approved by Meta to send messages.

But, i'm seeing everywhere that I should only send to contacts that have "opt-in" to receive my messages.

But that's not gonna be the case, I don't have that "opt-in" but as far as I know, Meta doesn't ask you for some sort of confirmation that you actually have those "opt-ins"

So... the question is, how can I do this the best professional way?

I saw somewhere that one way it's by importing a .CSV file with the name, phone, and a column called "opt-in" and put in there "Yes" , and that would be enough.

it's really that easy?
Has anyone ever sended over 1k messages through whatsapp api templates?

I'm reading you

You're right ,Meta doesn’t always enforce opt-in checks at the API level, but they absolutely do track delivery patterns and complaint rates.
Technically, yes, uploading a .CSV with an “opt-in” column marked "Yes" might pass, but if you start pushing 1k+ messages without actual consent, you're exposing your number and your BM to risk fast.
If you want to scale cleanly, the best practice is to build real opt-in logs (landing page, SMS trigger, QR, etc.).
If you're experimenting, warm up slow, rotate sender numbers if needed, and monitor block rates closely.
A spike of 1000+ cold messages usually triggers limits or flagging ,especially on newer WABA setups.

Importing a CSV with an "opt-in" column marked "Yes" can work, but Meta’s strict non-opted-in sends risk bans :suspicious: Scale slow, test small batches! :smirk:

Do you use Zendesk/Hubspot kind of CRM? Or something built specifically for your niche?
