I think relevance beats raw DA every single time in the current landscape, as google’s algorithms are much better at spotting 'forced' links on unrelated high-authority sites. It's honestly a waste of budget to chase a DA 70 link if the niche context doesn't align with your core content pillars

DA looks good on reports, but relevance and page-level value matter more in real rankings. A few niche, contextual links from pages with traffic usually outperform random high DA links.

DA is a third-party metric created by Moz, not Google. It's incredibly easy to manipulate with cheap redirects and spam.
If you buy a "High DA" link on an irrelevant page, half the time it won't even get indexed properly because Google sees no natural crawl path or topical overlap.

High DA alone is not enough. From my experience these factors matter just as much if not more:
Content quality on your own pages has to be strong first. Backlinks will not save weak or poorly optimized content.
Relevance beats DA every time. A DA 40 link from a niche relevant site will outperform a DA 80 link from an unrelated website in most cases.
Keyword optimization on your target pages matters. On-page and off-page have to work together otherwise results will be limited.
Internal linking is seriously underrated. It helps Google understand your site structure and distributes link equity properly.
Indexing is often ignored. If the linking page or your own page is not indexed those links are basically invisible to Google.

I think its very sad that newbies dont know the BHW platform is solely build to facilitate backlinksellers to trick newbies in fake stories about value of backlinks. In reality backlinks are not part of the Google-algo at all.
