If you follow the news regularly then besides AI technologies for entertainment like video and image generation there are also Tesla self driving cars space technology wars between nations with advanced weapons devices integrated with AI that process information faster and people already use AI every day to search for information and news or simply ask it whenever they don’t know something.

And now robots are starting to appear in many of the world’s leading countries so maybe within the next 10 years every person could own a robot just like people own smartphones today?

and how are you so sure, we aint just dooming ourselfs back to the stoneages?
look at it this way
AI needs money
robots needs money
work makes money
AI replacing workers
workers have no money
without money, where u buying that robot?
without money, how you going buy stuff
that means less demand
without demand, companies start to suffer (look at COVID era)
that means you need to work
but you cant get work, cuz AI does it better.
so where is companys getting money, if customers will eventually be unable to afford it?
without money, how are humans going to "live"?
sure, rich has it easy, they can live longer and enjoy all the AI-technologies
but the working class and under? they are the first to go.

Are we really heading towards an AI-only era.
taking aside of the obvious AI taking over and enslaving or killing all humans
can humans even co-exist in an AI-dominate era?

This is what almost everyone is thinking:

But AI isn't taking all our jobs; it's helping us. Since AI came along, you've heard about some job layoffs, but have you realized that many jobs are being created by AI? And AI needs money, right? But if AI users are good at it, they'll create better income. It's like before the invention of the tractor; farmers using hoes and their own strength would say, "Aaaa, the tractor is taking our jobs! We'll be unemployed and starve!" But then what? It developed. When automated factories appeared, they helped produce faster, reducing human labor. Did that lead to job losses? Or did it create a large number of delivery drivers, marketing and sales staff, advertising, affiliate marketers, and many other jobs? Simply because machines produce faster, they continuously create other jobs. Let's abandon the idea that AI will take all human jobs.

well said
learning how to use AI with your job puts you at an edge over anyone who cannot.
AI isn't perfect, and without someone knowledgeable in that area, you will never know what is wrong or right. Humans are still needed.

With development also comes destruction. With heavy reliance on AI, humans are only going to get dumber. No one wants to use their brains anymore. Now imagine AI replacing even physical work, we'd just have dumb and obese people around.

Humans advance faster and faster with each and every milestone, just take the time it took for us to get from papers (papyrus) to printing, and the time it took from printing to emails. It's only natural that the next advancements come ever faster. But I think our brains can't adapt to all these advancements quite in time

AI will take over humanity eventually. They'll own us. Terminator 2 will come true some day.

There’s definitely real acceleration happening, but the “AI will transform everything in 4 years / robots for everyone in 10 years” framing is a bit more speculative than what current trends actually support. but i believe we humans will always find a way to survive with the changes

I believe the greatest role of AI is still to replace humans, especially when combined with robotics. However, whether this is a good or bad thing remains uncertain.

Here is further evidence of a "commoner" suffering in today's current times
due to the push for AI
https://www.msn.com/en-us/travel/ar...er-amid-drought-conditions-report/ar-AA22W5PR

In stage 1 drought, the continue of pushing Data Centers (that most likely is used to power AI) continues.

AI is accelerating change at lightning speed—what used to take decades might happen in a few years. From self-driving cars and space tech to daily AI helpers and emerging robots, we’re moving toward a world where having a personal robot could be as normal as owning a smartphone today. The next decade could feel like a glimpse of the future we only imagined.

Thats the good part, but what I dont like is that it literally kills the uniqueness of everything. Everywhere is AI-Slop which I hate...

Someone finally said it the right way. I’ve always had the same question, if humans get removed, who exactly is the AI supposed to work for.

we're cooked
we will have access to endless amounts of AI brainrot and useless garbage
while people can't have access to water, because water needs to be used for datacenters instead of wasting it with people's basic needs

not to say about those AIs being used for military purposes, they are already using this shit to bombard schools, maybe this AI garbage thought it was a military center instead of a school or a hospital haha

I like technology but part of me says it would be better to just abandon everything and go live in a cave, far away from all this shit

No, AI is not creating jobs as much as it destroys job, that is the danger. Also, learning to use AI does not mean you won't be replaced. I will give you example. My most reliable client fired his designer who was already good with AI because my client now uses AI to design. So, his designer is no longer with job. I built a web application for my client, previously, he would outsource the UI aspect to me and I will outsource it to someone I know, that is part way she makes money. But the last web app I built, my client used AI to do the UI and I had to build the backend and integrate the api with the UI. This means the lady who could have easily made 800 USD for that UI is now left with no income even though she is good with AI.
So, what happens now is that companies can sack 9 out of their 10 staff and retain one staff to use AI even if the rest of the 9 can use AI. This is the part you're not hearing. It destroys more than it can create. Also, now almost everyone can create. What happens, saturation happens. There are now more videos, more apps, more everything, consumers of these products now have countless choices which has reduceed value. This has killed SaaS business model. So, what exactly job did AI create that can replace the over 8k workers Meta is about to sack? More qualified humans are losing their jobs with no proper replacement, what now happens? More people available for work with less opportunities. I am sure that AI will increase the gap between the rich and the poor. The worse hit are the middleclass

Most people are busy doom scrolling on their smartphones while eating junk food. The younger generation is getting dumber for the first time in recent history. They depend on AI and gadgets for everything. If there is a natural disaster and power outage, they'll struggle to make right decisions.

In my country, I'm seeing companies starting to hire people who know how to work with AI, Claude, Claw, Google, Kling, Capcut, etc.

In the past, running a company required many people and took many years to build, right?

But now, you only need one AI and one person to build a company, and one person can do everything. It's just a matter of time and effort. What you said about design seems reasonable, but in today's fiercely competitive world, if you don't strive, innovate, and differentiate yourself, you'll inevitably be eliminated!

Companies, game publishers, YouTubers, and everyone else are diving headfirst into AI to code useful applications that help people automate tasks and work faster. AI can automatically send emails, promote products, sell, and do marketing – all you need is time for direction and ideas. Managers who used to need many subordinates to support them now don't need as many anymore. But even so, in millions of years to come, when something new emerges, there will always be two opposing viewpoints, and humanity will always develop and progress, creating millions and millions of jobs you never imagined in the next 10 years.

Thirty years ago, no one thought you could talk on the phone and see each other, but now it's commonplace. Hundreds of years ago, before the invention of plows, people said plows would kill the jobs of farmers.

AI is going to destroy humanity, kids nowadays are saying, no need to study, Ai will answer everything, it will solve everything. Not good for world.

AI will definitely speed up a lot of industries but the “faster than last 100 years combined” part is a bit optimistic. Progress usually hits real world limits like regulation, cost and adoption speed. Robots everywhere in 10 years is possible in some sectors but not really for everyone like smartphones.

Having a fishing rod doesn't mean it will automatically catch fish for you; you have to find places with fish and fish yourself. AI is the same way.
