From my experience working on Reddit, the proxy is only one small part of the issue. Reddit now pays a lot of attention to account behavior and trust score.
I’ve noticed there are certain types of accounts that survive much better, both for promotion and even normal day-to-day usage. Fresh accounts with no history usually get flagged very quickly no matter how clean the proxy is.
What has worked better for me is:
- aged accounts with realistic activity
- accounts that already have some karma spread naturally across different subreddits
- keeping the same device/browser environment consistently
- warming the account slowly before posting anything serious
A lot of people jump straight into commenting or posting heavily after creating the account, and Reddit sees that as suspicious immediately.
Also, some subreddits silently filter newer accounts without telling you, so sometimes it looks like a ban when it’s actually trust-related restrictions.
These days Reddit feels more like building a real user profile than just creating an account and posting.
