Hey guys, feels like new X accounts are getting almost no reach now, even with regular posting and replying. Wanted to ask people actively growing accounts right now - is the algorithm just stricter now or do new accounts get some kind of hidden filter at the start? And does verified still help reach that much?

Yes, shadowbans. They don't care if you're verified or not.

Most accounts have shadow bans; use quality proxies to create completely legitimate accounts.

New accounts often go through a probation period where posting alone is not enough to generate significant impressions.
Accounts with x premium can gain some added visibility, but content quality and engagement matter far more

yeah actually now days X is doing a lot of shadow bans, anyone know specific reason for it ?

I'd assume it always did, or does so for a very long time.

You should even get a notification about it inside the profile.

One thing that's not so easy to deal with is that Twitter constantly evolves its moderation and ranking practices (but that's true pretty much for all the big or smaller social media)

Yeah exactly, that’s the hardest part honestly. What works today suddenly stops working a month later because they keep changing the algo/moderation.

New accounts definitely feel suppressed now compared to a few years ago.

X seems way heavier on trust scoring now — account age, behavior patterns, engagement quality, device/IP history, verification etc all seem to matter a lot more than just posting consistently.

After testing many accounts to gain traction, I firmly believe that there is a shift from X's algo from plain content creation and posting, to "forcing" people to use ads so X becomes more profitable. That is my opinion though and X hasn't announced such a shift officialy.

nothing new here. but there have always been workarounds to get the algorithm to notice you faster

I don't see how this will work, unless Premium+ is removed.

The price to pay for Premium is there to pay for reach.

You can't make people pay for Premium for reach and then make them pay again for reach - it'll just die (more than it has).

These days X's algorithm is very strict your account got shadow banned instantly
