Hello BHW,

I am looking to help my friend sell his site (yes I get a little commission if I succeed). He has owned it for about 5 years now. It is in the second citizenship, second passport, residency programs, golden visa, privacy genre. The entire site costs less than $200 per year to maintain and he has built strong SEO around it manually from very high citation sources (Forbes, Entrepreneur...etc.etc..). He makes an average of $12,000 per year from referring out people who contact him to providers of these services. Since it is not a business he cannot sell it on most major websites. He cannot show financials either because he gets his money to his personal paypal and a lot of other transactions from other website sources hit his account. It is super low cost, low maintenance and he did it as a hobby but now he is pursuing other ventures. The traffic information is obviously accessible on major sites.

The questions are:
1. Where can he post it without going through these insane verification and preferably get paid in crypto (although PayPal works for him too)?
2. How much would you list a site like this for?

I appreciate your help. Any questions or clarifications needed just let me know.

You will need am income verification for a 12k site. I don't see any other way. How insane the verification is doesnt matter. There are safety rail guards placed on those sites to prevent fraud. You can sell it here at bhw, flippa, empire flippers. Payment method doesn't matter because you will have to use escrow service
Good luck!

Thank you for your answer I appreciate it. On Flippa he was able to get it listed and approved without claiming income verification and I believe he is claiming there $9,999 and that way they were able to list it. Any other platforms? Also, what do you think he can sell it for? He is perfectly fine with escrow, in fact he prefers it. Thanks again.

I'd estimate the site at around $30k-$45k (2.5x-3.5x annual profit), assuming the traffic and rankings are stable.

The lack of verifiable financials will likely be the biggest hurdle. Even simple payment screenshots or referral records can help build buyer confidence.

For selling, I'd look at forums, private investor groups, or direct outreach to companies already in the citizenship/residency niche. They may pay a premium for the authority and backlinks.
