IPv6 Proxies for X – Do They Work for New or Aged Accounts?

I’m trying to figure out the best proxy setup for managing and posting on X accounts.

Previously, I’ve used IPv6 proxies for Threads (account creation + warm-up), and it worked fairly well while keeping costs low.

Now I’m wondering how effective IPv6 proxies are for X.

My current thoughts:

• If I create accounts myself, IPv6 might be enough and help reduce costs
• But I’m not sure if new accounts using IPv6 will perform well in terms of reach and posting
• If I buy aged accounts, I’m concerned that IPv6 proxies might not be suitable or could cause issues

For those with experience on X:

• Do IPv6 proxies work for account creation and long-term use?
• Is there a difference in performance between IPv6 and residential/mobile proxies?
• Does proxy type affect reach or just account safety?

Yes, there’s a difference. Mobile proxies usually look the most human-like to platforms.

Proxies can totally work for account creation, especially if you're on a budget, but for aged accounts, or if you're really aiming for max reach, residential or mobile proxies are probably the way to go

IPv6 proxies can work for X, but they’re hit or miss. New accounts need clean, stable IP + proper warmup or they get flagged fast. Aged accounts can handle more activity but still better with residential/ISP proxies, not random IPv6 pools.

In my experience, mobile proxies are the way to go for long-term use on X, they just look more natural to the platform and it's harder to get flagged. IPv6 proxies can work for account creation, but it's a gamble, and if you're not careful with warm-up, you'll get banned quickly. I've seen people have decent results with IPv6 for new accounts, but as soon as they start posting regularly, the account gets limited. Residential proxies are a safer bet, especially for aged accounts, they're more stable and less likely to raise any red flags. What I've noticed is that it's not just about the proxy type, but also about how you use them, proper rotation and warm-up are key to avoiding issues. It's worth spending a bit more on quality proxies if you want to run a lot of accounts on X.

Mobile proxies are the way to go. The IP ranges used by mobile proxies are shared by many users by default, so there’s a much lower chance of getting blocked

I’m actually pretty surprised that you were able to use IPv6 proxies for Threads, because a lot of our users have said that Threads in particular and Meta platforms in general are very picky about IP quality, and up until now, IPv4 has basically been the only reliable option. But still, congrats on getting it to work.

As for whether IPv6 works for X, I think it probably can. You might be able to use it for account registration, but for long-term account farming/warming, I’d still recommend sticking with IPv4, whether residential or mobile.

Btw, you should still test the IPv6 range you’re currently using with your X accounts, because it’s possible that your IPv6 source is actually high quality and works well.
