Youtube and social media reels culture is here to stay. So, it's better to exploit it.
 
Many people who earned through SEO and affiliate marketing are now exploring SaaS products, lead generation, local service businesses, newsletters, and AI related services. Instead of depending only on Google rankings, they are trying to build stable brands and recurring income streams that are less affected by algorithm updates.
 
After making money with SEO and affiliate marketing, many people shift toward building long term assets like brands, SaaS tools, local businesses, or investing in scalable income sources instead of relying only on rankings and traffic.
 
Affiliate still works,But the easy traffic days are mostly gone.Now it's more about building trust,real audience and diversified traffic sources instead of depending only on google rankings. A lot of people shifted instead of quitting completely. Some moved in to local SEO, Reddit/community marketing ,email marketing or building niche service businesses for clients.Others started focusing on youtube ,newsletters or programmatic SEO with stronger brands instead of thin affiliate sites.
 
Diversification works like magic. If you just depend on 1 income source,, you will be going out of business sooner or later. SEO guys are now exploring other things which works beyond AI. ie real business ownership, local business, SaaS etc,
 
I started feeling way less stress once I stopped treating SEO like a slot machine and used the cash to build stuff I actually control. Even small experiments, like a micro SaaS or a local lead gen setup, taught me way more than chasing the next loophole. Platforms shift fast in 2026, so having a couple of income streams humming in the background keeps me from freaking out every time Google sneezes.
 
I’ve leaned more on stuff I can control long term, so I’ve been building small brands with their own traffic loops like email and social, even if they start tiny. Google tantrums hurt less when the audience doesn’t vanish overnight. YouTube has been a slow burn for me but pays off over time, and local service sites still make steady cash without as much whiplash.
