I created a profile but don’t know what to do next. Should I focus on posting, connecting, or something else?

I am assuming this is your personal linkedin account account not a fake one.
For fake and multiple linkedin accounts you will have to go with whole different statergy and lot of investment of time and money.

You should both post and connect with other uses but not overdo it as it will get you shadow banned. If you are selling a product or service linkedIn is great for promoting these and earning you money.
 
I'd say focus on connecting with people in your field and start engaging with their posts or sharing your own thoughts, it's all about building that network and getting your name out there
