Both works best, the goal is to get some visibility on search engine, I often come across small accounts with low likes, making it to google search, through threads.

For authority: definitely proper backlinks/content. For quick discovery/indexing: X posts can help a bit faster. So depends on the goal - X for speed, real links for long-term SEO.

Long-form content is where you REALLY get to flex your expertise and establish yourself as a thought leader, ya know? Ultimately, it depends on your goals, but I'd say a mix of both is the secret sauce for maximum growth and authority
