Hello everyone,
Do you still find organic reach effective on social media, or has it become more difficult recently?
Interested in different perspectives.
Thanks

its different for every platform, which you are talking about?

From my experience, organic reach is still possible, but it’s definitely harder than it used to be. With more content and changing algorithms, getting consistent visibility usually requires strong engagement signals early (watch time, comments, saves) and a clear audience focus. It still works — just not as easily without quality + consistency. Curious what others are seeing too

yes organic is still working today and will always work if platforms dont give users organic reach all their users will change platforms.

yes but it depends on what vertical and app you are using

Organic reach still works, but it’s definitely harder than it used to be. It’s less about posting often and more about posting the right content value, engagement, and consistency matter a lot now. Platforms still reward organic reach, just more selectively.

Organic reach is still effective when content is intentional and valuable, but it now rewards consistency, relevance, and audience trust more than ever.

It depends on the platform, but for Instagram, organic reach has gotten harder in 2026 unless you're using Reels and carousels with strong engagement hooks. Consistency and early interaction matter more than ever now.

Organic reach isn't dead, but it’s shifted from 'Social' to 'Interest' based. You no longer get reach just because people follow you; you get it because your content is engaging enough for the algorithm to push it to strangers. It’s harder because you’re competing with everyone, not just other accounts in your niche.

Organic reach still worth it, but it is still definately harder than before. You need better content and consistency to see results now. It is slower but it will work if you stick to it.

I have noticed that communities ,short form videos and genuine conversation still bring good organic traffic visibility when done regularly.Paid promotion can help speed things up,but organic reach still is important for building trust and long term audience engagement.

You're better off throwing your money at ads if you actually want people to see your content, unless you're into shouting into the void
