What are your go-to first backlinks when launching a new site?

Social profiles and niche specific directories are usually the best first step to build foundational trust. High traffic platforms like Reddit or Quora can also bring in some immediate referral visitors if the content is helpful. :cool:

I would go for EDU backlinks but Indexed links

Reason,
They have high authority
high traffic
Do follow links
Budget friendly

But should be indexed outherwise it trash.

And some permium backlinks from premium sites would be better i think
 
i start with brand profiles like linkedin and about pages then social links like reddit and x then web 2 blogs and citations then a few niche guest posts keep it natural and clean for trust

I am doing similar to this like I build backlinks to my website from reddit, webly kind of pages I create and then I use different tools to build backlinks? I recently purchased Money Robot and found out it only has few websites but still it shows some improvement on my website but it's expensive then I find gsa ser and seen you are using it all the time. CAn you suggest me a good guide for it. It seems it's a powerful tool but it's much more advanced than money robot.
 
Good start I'd just focus more on indexable, relevant links (contextual + active profiles) rather than low-quality directories that don’t get crawled. Also, build links gradually and keep internal linking strong from day one to support those early backlinks.
 
I usually stick to high-quality niche directories and some basic social profiles first just to get the brand name out there. After that, I like finding a few relevant community threads where I can actually contribute and leave a link naturally. It's slower than automated blasts, but the trust signals you get from real referral traffic seem to help much more with long-term indexing.
 
Socials so that I can:

1. Claim the branding

2. Prove to Google that I am in fact a REAL business and not a blog destined to spam ads everywhere.

most people waste time on directories. better move is find where ur audience already hangs and drop value there. forums, reddit, discord groups. 1 good thread can beat 50 weak links. medium just filler, real growth comes from eyeballs not bots
 
Begin with niche posts in forums, helpful relevant articles, relevant profile links from which you can get actual referral traffic.
