Are backlinks still working? What do you think Guys

Good ones will always work, crappy ones are not working much anymore for me. I ranked with only 1 backlink recently, all the juice was in the simple and fast web design and setup from scratch it seems.

Backlinks are still important and it really is quality over quantity here.

1000 spammy xrumer links will most likely be ignored anyway so it's a waste of time and money.

Vs

A high quality guest post on a real site.

I know which one I'd be going for.

:)

Backlinks were always importand and forever will be. Just do not buy any spam services, make sure to aim for quality.

If anyone wants to find out if good ones still work, they should review your posts. You have shared some very nice ones that I was able to use, thanks!

My knowledge of seo pales in comparison to @splishsplash & Shaun Anderson.

Both are SEO legends.

I'm just a mere drop of water in the Earth's ocean whilst they are like an entire hycean planet.

Good, you just posted your service in my thread, great..

Of course they are. But you need quality backlinks. If they had not been working, there would have been bsts here related to link building closing.

OK, we all know this, but...
Looking at various platforms and on this forum, in the end, everything is full of offers of 100+ backlinks for $10 (this is a banal example). So it's still being bought/sold, so I wonder why people buy it if such links are more harmful than useful?
