i've been focusing more on Facebook Reels lately and the reach is definitely higher than regular posts, but converting that reach into followers or engagement is a different story.

For those consistently posting reels, are you optimizing more for trends or original content? Also, do shorter reels still perform better, or are longer ones starting to gain traction now?

Trends are what you need to focus on. Short reels are better but it's not always true, if you post long shortq that are good and make people want to watch them till the end, it's even better because it shows FB there is good retention.

following trends can get you higher reach but followers can be achieved by quality content i think that will make make your viewer stay and follow you for further content and of course if the viewers likes it he will give it a like also

so, treands are for views bump. but content is for the audience from my sight

Reels definitely bring reach, but yeah converting is the hard part.

From what I’ve seen, trends help with reach, but original content converts better. I usually mix both.

Shorter reels still perform best imo, easier to keep retention high. Longer ones can work, but only if they don’t lose attention.

I usually post short entertaining and humorous videos, and most of them receive a lot of views.

Converting from Reach to Follow on Reels requires a dual content strategy: leveraging Trends to reach your audience and using Original content as a foundation for loyalty. Technically, there's no hard and fast formula for video length.

Trends bring the reach on Facebook Reels, but original, value-driven content is what actually converts viewers into followers—so mix both, keep most videos short (7–15s) for reach, and only go longer if your hook and retention are strong.

In my opinion, short reels work better for ads and selling products
Long reels are make money from views ^^

The optimal duration is 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Yeah Trends help with reach, but original content builds followers.

imo original content usually converts better long term, trends help reach but don't always build loyal followers. shorter reels still perform best for reach, but slightly longer ones can work if retention stays high from start to finish

small videos/reels are good now day the reason behind it people dont have much time to watch long videos and one more thing create intrest in start or leave somethong special so audience can be curious

I prefer longer, bcs short reel cant give all information what i need in goods
but shorter is one of the easiest formats to drive reach on Meta
