For me, proxies are only for operational purposes, not for making money. I only use them to stabilize the environment when doing affiliate marketing, ads or managing multiple legitimate accounts. Profit comes from offers, funnels and content, not proxies.

Proxies are the backbone for multi accounting, sneaker copping, and bulk data scraping. The most profitable play I have seen consistently is using clean residential proxies to manage multiple social media or ecommerce accounts, automating them to drive traffic to affiliate offers or client stores. If your IPs are clean and you pair them with Gologin to isolate fingerprints, those accounts last way longer and the passive income adds up quick.

Honestly I’ve mostly seen people make good money with proxies through scraping and automation stuff. Things like data collection, managing multiple accounts, or running bots seem way more profitable than just reselling proxies themselves.

Heh, margin is almost always higher closer to the end consumer.
So hoster margin < proxy seller margin < dataset scraper margin < marketer margin who sells a service based on that dataset.
Same way factory margin < aliexpress seller margin < dropshipper margin.
But the thing is, margin doesn’t live in a vacuum, there’s also business stability / competition intensity / operational complexity / entry barriers / a bunch of other stuff.
So selling proxies is a pretty decent option, pretty decent.

The highest-margin proxy use case I've seen consistently is real-time ecommerce price intelligence — scraping competitor pricing at scale for brands or agencies that can't do it themselves. Clients pay $500–2k/month for a clean price feed from 3–5 competitor sites; your actual proxy spend is maybe $50–100 plus server time. The work is building scrapers that don't break every time a site updates its frontend, not the proxy layer itself.

Proxies are tools that you can use for your company to grow revenue . For example using proxies to resell pokemon or tickets allow the user to purchase a much larger quantity. In a data scraping sense it makes it so that you can gather a larger quantity of data quicker.
Enterprise price intelligence is an absolute goldmine.
The actual coding is the easiest part nowadays. With Claude Code, you can literally vibe code a custom scraper in a few hours without needing a senior dev background. (with GSD with 0 experience)
The real bottleneck is about the proxy infrastructure. If you have a solid rotating residential setup, the AI handles the data extraction effortlessly.

That’s where the real differentiation is now: proxy fleet management, session persistence, fingerprint consistency across requests. The code is almost a commodity at this point.

You can use proxies for multi-account work like affiliate, social media growth, ad testing, ecom, lead gen, or managing client accounts. The money is in what the accounts do, not the proxy itself. With account work, stable proxies usually make more sense than random rotation. Pair that with an antidetect browser like ours, so each account has its own profile, proxy, cookies, fingerprint, timezone, and WebRTC setup. Much cleaner than mixing everything in one browser.
