I heard there’s a method to get monetized where you first meet the requirements with organic growth 500 subscribers and 4000 watch hours. After you get approved, people then buy the next 500 temporary subscribers, and you’re automatically promoted to full monetization. A few days later, those subscribers disappear, but everything supposedly keeps working as it should. Is this a good approach?

Don't do it. Even if you get approved, YT periodically re-checks requirements. If you fall significantly below 1k subs shortly after, they can and will demonetize you. Better to drip-feed high-quality non-drop subs or just grind it out with Shorts.

Buying temporary subscribers is risky and mostly useless. YouTube can detect fake or inactive subs, remove them, reject monetization, or even penalize your channel. Without a real audience, earnings won’t last anyway.

Especially if you are working with a person who is just focusing on pumping your subscribers number up fast. I have seen some cases where channels barely get any views after they bought the subscribers that way.

I’ve heard about that method but honestly it’s risky and not worth it. Buying subs even after approval can still flag your channel and mess with trust signals later. Yeah you might get full monetization faster but it can hurt your reach or even lead to problems down the line. Better to grow it naturally so the channel stays stable and actually makes money long term

Forget about the risks. Even if youtube allows it, the fake subs won't engage with the content, making you lose your overall engagement. Your channel growth declines over time. It's not worth it.

Ignore what was said thus far. You can absolutely buy subscribers and hours to get you over the minimum requirements. I sell hundreds weekly for years and never had a problem. You just have to find a service that does REAL subs and hours using opt in user networks that get paid for subbing and watching. There is no drop issue either as long as you use real ppl. Im not plugging my service to avoid breaking the rules but you can find at least a few companies that do this. Just test out with other channels before using on your real one.

Buying subscribers and watch time hours has been a trick that has been used for almost 10 years to monetize channels quickly, why wait for a long time when you can do it in a matter of weeks. However the main thing to keep in mind is how you send these watch hours and subscribers, do not send all the watch hours to one video, that method has been noticed by youtube instead distribute the watch hours and subscribers across multiple videos.

A channel with thousands of subscribers but no views is completely worthless; focus on sustainable growth instead of risky shortcuts.
