Google my business verification

I don't know if this is the right place to ask or talk about but I see plenty of threads about Google Business verification.

Knowing what Google is asking for, providing such a service is literally impossible unless you are physically on the premises or have a local runner putting fake labels on existing businesses , it's highly unlikely to even pass step 1.

Hard to test and I have yet to see this pulled off, really.

Should the forum permit such offers and claims is my point? Really just wondering

There are or were workarounds for verification which google apparently updated in january. Wanted someone to get my gmb verified and he couldnt get it done because of the update. Before that it was not that difficult. I dont know how all the sellers did it but i highly doubt they have runners since the prices for a verified gmb listing is always around 300$, that will barely cover the cost of a runner.

I get your point. Verification has become much stricter, and without real physical presence it’s definitely harder than people make it sound.


I think the key is transparency, if someone is offering a service, they should clearly explain the method and risks instead of making blanket guarantees.


At the end of the day, it’s on buyers to do due diligence, but unrealistic claims probably deserve more scrutiny.

They just say they have experience. Meanwhile Google wants you to take a video tour showing street signs, entering the offices and many things more.

I do not see any way to pull this off without local runners.

Tried doing this for a few businesses, only ran into problems. Unless you badly need it, not worth it IMO. Could try to find a 3rd party who can assist with this.
