Used to carefully pick 3–5 hashtags for every post.
Now I’m not seeing much difference whether I use them or not.
Are hashtags still part of your strategy or completely irrelevant now?

From what I see, I believe they still matter. However, it may not have the same impact it did in the past.

Hashtags aren’t completely dead, but their impact on LinkedIn has definitely reduced.
The algorithm now focuses more on content quality, dwell time, and engagement than hashtags alone.
Using 2–5 relevant hashtags still helps with discoverability, but overusing them doesn’t add much value.
Many creators now prioritize strong hooks and valuable content over hashtag strategy.
So hashtags still matter—but they’re no longer the main growth driver.

Hashtags on LinkedIn still do something, but they’re no longer a growth lever. They’ve been downgraded to a supporting role.
What hashtags actually do:
They help categorize your post,
They can place your content into followed hashtag feeds,
They add a small amount of discoverability outside your network,

In other words, they help LinkedIn understand and route your content—not promote it.

Using 3-5 hashtags still doesn't hurt, but they don't fell as important anymore. I've noticed hashtags don't seem to impact reach like they used to. Now LinkedIn’s algorithm focuses more on content quality, keywords in the post, and engagement signals.

I still use a few relevant hashtags, but not as heavily as before. Content quality and engagement seem to matter more now. Hashtags feel more like a small extra boost than a main factor.

From what I’ve seen, hashtags on LinkedIn still have some value, but they’re not as important as they used to be. Earlier, they played a bigger role in reach, but now the algorithm seems to focus more on content quality and engagement.

Using a few relevant hashtags can still help categorize your post and make it discoverable to a certain extent, but overusing them or relying on them alone doesn’t really make a big difference anymore.

In most cases, a well-written post that gets real engagement tends to perform better, even with minimal or no hashtags.

I think Hashtags still help a bit , but not like before . I feel that , they do not really boost unless the content itself gets engagement . Now it feels more like LinkedIn just shows posts based on relevance and activity . I still add 2-3 , but I do not reply on them much anymore.

Today hashtags on LinkedIn are more of a bonus as the performance of a post is largely dictated by relevance, timing and the engagement of your network and not by the number or choice of tags

Not completely irrelevant but much less important now
LinkedIn focuses more on content quality and engagement
I still use 2 to 3 hashtags for reach but they are not a game changer anymore
Good content matters more than hashtags now

Hashtags are no longer a major growth factor, but using a few relevant ones can still support visibility while the real reach comes from quality content and engagement.

Yes they do. They help to give the algo the right context to help get the posts infront of the right audience. However, spamming hashtags in a post will not boost its reach. Use two or 3 relevant hashtags for your niche is the way to go.
