JUST AN IDEA ..........


About Me: I have experience to variable degrees in both marketing and dev for crypto projects. Currently involved with a fintech startup. I can get access to funding (limited of course).


Lets join and create a token, something that can offer some form of utility (like discounts to each other's services..)

I think we're underestimating the power of a group that's brought together by BHW.


Let me know what you think about this.....

Honestly, I don't see any future for such new coins. That would be just another drop in the ocean.
It's another thing if you want to make a token, popularize it quickly, take some money from there, and move on. There's already a scheme for that, so I think it's a lot harder right now.
 
I can't argue with the drop in the ocean statement. My idea is to be a genuinely BHW community oriented, where holders get some type of discounts to the creators founders services, and added on tothat another layer of some sort of yield pool and so on.
Obviously I'm an optimist....

There is a well-established scheme that offers more or less success, but mostly the main goal is to collect money and exit scam in some way.
An airdrop is launched, rewards are promised, and tokens will be purchased for a few dollars. There is a whole platform, where you get points for various tasks, trading, sharing on SM... In the end, a certain number really get solid rewards, while the team leaves with the main funds.
I might even post it here to clarify, although I would be reluctant to do so because it would mean advocating such a method.
 
community tokens tend to flop, just saying. Even if you slap a surface level “utility” on it like holders getting discount if there’s no huge name behind it it simply doesn’t fly.

Better off putting your effort & funds into established projects.

These are my thoughts as well!
 
For a short while I was optimistic about this, thinking that if there is some value that's added to the token there might be some potential. I mean look at jokes like fartcoin ....... Also the fact that right off the bat there is a community would help.

Its obvious nobody here shares my optimism :D

Can you name me 3 good altcoin projects that have been launched in the last year, or even two years?
Those who are still active and have at least some slight growth in development

Community driven tokens can work but only if there’s real demand outside the group itself

Are you a Degen? You said you have experience with marketing; have you ever created narratives or anything like that to push projects ?

My idea is that the core is a group of a dozen or more service providers, could be anything from SEO, content and copy to hosting ..... Each of the core owners offer a discount to those that pay with the token.

I UNDERSTAND its light, and optimistic. BUT this creates some buy pressure.

Maybe we can add some memefication. Anything. I'm not expecting it to reach Ether's market cap, but I think it can reach light traction, and requires not much.

What do ya'll think?

This is great point. Aside maybe from 1 or 2 overengineered projects, theres nothing.

BUT, don't forget fartcoin and all the rest of those useless shitcoins. I know they have people behind that jacked the volume but we can do that too to a lesser level.

The <outside the group> are the buyers of services, then the speculators, then the chads

I've been part of a team that did "altcoin revivals" ...... We took over projects and gave them life again. It has gotten increasingly tough since BTC's drop last year.

Marketing delegated

Worked roughly on about 40% of the projects we accepted.
