The "Post Consistently" Myth is Dead. Let's Talk Backend Metrics.
Hey BHW. I've been lurking here for a while, watching people complain about IG reach dying, shadowbans, and "Ghost Town" accounts. Most of the advice going around is regurgitated garbage from 2020.
Telling someone to "use trending audios" doesn't bypass a backend spam filter.
For the past 36 months, I stopped guessing and started testing. I built burner accounts, forced shadowbans, and reverse-engineered the actual engagement velocity triggers across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
The Truth About The Meta Filter:
IG doesn't care about your content quality. It categorizes accounts into 3 tiers based on retention. If your Follower-to-Like ratio drops below a certain threshold for 5 consecutive posts, the system actively throttles your reach to save server bandwidth. Pumping out more content on a throttled account just deepens the penalty. You have to force a "Profile Reset" by engineering external engagement.

I documented every single test. I have 70 verified case studies. Instead of writing a 100,000-word thread that nobody will read, I organized my entire testing database.
