Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed my campaigns keep going back into the learning phase whenever I make small changes (like slight budget increase or creative swap).
Because of this, performance becomes unstable and CPC shoots up temporarily.
Is this expected behavior with Facebook’s algorithm in 2026, or am I over-optimizing?
How do you guys manage testing without constantly resetting the learning phase?

Yeah its normal, fb algo still sensitive so even small changes like budget or creative can reset learning and affect performance, if you keep editing too much then its over optimizing, better let it run stable, make small changes like 10–20% only and dont touch again and again, for testing just duplicate adset or make new one instead of editing live one so main campaign stays stable.

Yeah, this is normal. FB’s learning phase resets when you make changes that affect delivery, like budget changes, new creative, or targeting edits. Small changes can sometimes reset it too, which is annoying but part of how their algorithm learns. Best way is to try not to tweak campaigns too often and let them run for a bit before making changes, or duplicate campaigns for testing so main one stays stable.

this is a quite sensitive matter any changes made to the campaign will trigger the learning phase to restart from scratch to avoid this it's best to let the campaign fully complete its learning phase . br

Yes, it is normal in 2026, FB is very sensitive now even small edits can reset learning. I usually group changes together and scale slowly instead of touching ads daily, that keeps stability better.

Scaling slowly is crucial, but I've found that grouping changes into batches of 3-5 edits at a time and applying them on a weekly basis works better than daily or every other day. This approach allowed me to reduce CPC spikes . Additionally, prioritizing adset duplication for testing, as previously mentioned, has been instrumental in maintaining stable performance on main campaigns

Yeah, its normal, fb ads go back to learning phase even on small changes like budget edit or new creative, problem is when you change things too often then it keeps resetting and performance get unstable, better way is dont touch campaign daily, let it run 3-5 days, do small changes like 10-20% budget increase only, and test creatives in separate ad sets instead of editing running one, also try to get more conversions so learning exit fast, main thing is avoid over optimizing too much.

Hey bro, yes this is still normal in 2026 with Meta ads.

Even small edits like budget changes or creative swaps can push the campaign back into learning or “learning limited,” especially if the ad set doesn’t have enough stable conversions yet.

Yeah, it’s normal, FB resets learning if you change budget too much or swap creatives. Small tweaks can still trigger it. Best way is to plan bigger tests and avoid too many tiny changes, let the campaign stabilize before changing again.

Normal, bro.

Yes, it’s normal with Meta ads. Small changes can reset learning phase. Avoid frequent edits, test in separate ad sets, and let campaigns stabilize before optimizing

Yeah, it’s pretty normal. Facebook tends to reset the learning phase whenever you make changes like budget adjustments or swapping creatives.

Even small tweaks can trigger it sometimes. The best approach is to plan your tests more strategically instead of making frequent minor edits.

Yeah that’s pretty normal tbh. FB resets learning phase fast now even with small edits. I usually avoid touching anything for 3-4 days and scale budget slowly instead of changing creatives every few hours.
