Is Topical Authority Still the Fastest Way to Rank New Sites?

I’ve been focusing on building topical clusters instead of random keywords. For those who’ve tested this recently, is topical authority still the fastest way to rank a new site or are there better approaches now?

Focusing on topical clusters still seems to help, especially for new sites. It makes content more organized and shows relevance to search engines. Random keywords can work, but building authority around a topic usually gives more consistent results.
 
Absolutely agree. Topical Authority is what google prefers, that instead of targetting keywords in your content, start building topical clusters around the main topic. This way you can achieve what google loves & that is topical authority. I have seen websites with no backlinks rank higher in serp than those websites which have high number of backlinks. simply put without a long winded expo - yes it is .
 
Topical authority can help a lot if you segregate topics through tags, categories, internal links and push them through backlinks.

From what I have seen recently, topical authority still works really well especially for new sites. Clusters help Google understand your niche faster and can boost rankings quickly. But honestly, combining it with solid backlinks and intent focused content seems to give the best, most consistent results now.
