how do i remove negative reviews from google ?

You can flag the review as inappropriate through Google Business Profile if it violates guidelines (e.g., spam, fake, off-topic). If that fails, respond professionally to mitigate impact. Google rarely removes negative reviews unless they clearly breach policies; legal threats or fake removal services are scams. Building positive reviews is the best long-term strategy.

If the review is clearly not relevant to your business, you can report it directly through the platform as 'irrelevant' or 'not based on a real experience.' When reporting, select the policy reason that fits - misleading, off-topic, not a real customer, etc. and briefly explain why the reviewer has no connection to your business.

Someone has given a negative review that is not relevant to my business. Can you help me remove it?
I’d suggest flagging the review as inappropriate and then posting a polite reply so others know it’s not relevant to your business.

You can flag it as irrelevant or false on the review platform and contact their support. If it violates guidelines, it may be removed.

You can have it removed by someone who does this as a service. I saw an offer yesterday in The Marketplace -> Misc forum. Price was $125.
They report it, follow up on the report and do a few other tricks. Offer was max 14 days TAT or full refund.

Although I am not sure how hard it is to do it yourself.

you can easily remove them with aged account's to report that accounts who made negative review's about your business.

I dealt with a competitor leaving 1-star rants about a product we didn't even stock, but just flagging it as off-topic once from the dashboard rarely works because Google's bot usually defaults to keeping the review live.

Instead of just reporting it alone, get three or four different accounts to flag it as irrelevant over a couple of days to force a manual look, or just reply politely saying they likely meant to review a different shop.

First reply the review that it is fake and ask for proof, then report it to google for fake review

Always reply to your negative reviews.

Additionally identify the policy violation. Could be Spam, Profanity, Conflict of interest

Once you do that, wait for a few days if they still dont get removed. Raise a ticket

Dont mass report or engage in Microworkers

It has to be strategic

"This is actually my area of expertise. Here are a few options depending on the platform the review is on:

1. Flag it directly : most platforms like Google have a reporting feature where you can flag reviews that violate their policies. Irrelevant reviews often qualify for removal.

2. Respond publicly : always respond professionally to the review. This shows potential customers you're on top of things while you work on getting it removed.

3. Contact support : if flagging doesn't work, escalate directly to the platform's support team with evidence of why it's irrelevant.

The success rate depends on the platform but Google tends to remove reviews that clearly violate their guidelines. Happy to help further if you share more details.

You can report the review directly through Google Maps if it violates their policies, but honestly, it’s usually better to just post a professional reply so potential clients see you’re handling it like a pro

If the review violates guidelines, you can try flagging it through Google Business Profile and submit a removal request. It that does not work, replying professionally and getting more positive reviews usually helps reduce the impact over time.

you can not remove it yourself you must flag it through your google businesses profile for violating specific policies like spam
