Hey guys,
I’ve been running FB ads for the past 3 weeks and finally hit a stable ROAS of around 2.5–3 on my main campaign. Currently spending about $50/day.
Now I’m trying to scale, but every time I increase the budget (even 20–30%), performance drops after 1–2 days.

I’ve tested:
  • Increasing budget gradually
  • Duplicating ad sets
  • Broad vs interest targeting
Still can’t maintain consistency while scaling.

Is this more of a creative fatigue issue or audience saturation?
Would you recommend horizontal scaling over vertical in this case?

Appreciate any insights from people who’ve scaled past this stage.

forget budget increases, make more creatives instead. take your winning ad and make 5-10 versions with different hooks and thumbnails. put each one in its own ad set at $50. now youre spending $300+ a day without touching the original campaign. way more stable than cranking up budget on one ad set

hey man, congrats on hitting that roas, 2.5–3 is a solid start. definitely sounds like you're bumping into creative fatigue, especially if you're only changing the budget. at $50/day, your audience is probably getting pretty familiar with your ads. try refreshing your creatives first, like, immediately. think about your landing page speed too, is it optimized for mobile? if it's slow, you’re basically throwing money away.

Sometimes, scaling up is more effective by creating more ad content instead of just increasing the budget. You can choose the ads that perform best and experiment with different images and content across separate ad groups.

usually vertical scaling makes ads drop, better to copy winning adset with new creatives and scale slow, not just raise budget.

If performance decreases each time you scale up, horizontal scaling such as creating ad groups will be more effective than drastically increasing the budget for a single successful ad.

Try horizontal scaling, test new creatives with broad audience because budget bumps usually mess up the fb optimization at $50.

Try adding new creatives and scaling horizontally with different interests because vertical scaling always messes up the learning phase when budget is too low.
