wierd issue with facebook video as story

I mostly upload videos using laptop and check on mobile

so some videos when uploaded as reels they directlu start playing and some not when viewd by other uses
any expert advice

I think it's related to how the video distribution and processing system works.

try uploading from mobile instead of laptop and see if the issue persists. facebook processes videos differently depending on how you upload them. mobile uploads tend to be more consistent

the reason can be week network, the video has a large file size. You should set up video in a standard size and wait about 10 minutes, everything will be smooth.

seen this before, usually not really a “bug” but how fb processes videos

some clips get auto-play because they meet their format/engagement signals, others don’t… things like aspect ratio (9:16 works best), first seconds movement, bitrate and even audio can affect it

also uploading from desktop sometimes messes with how it’s categorized vs mobile

try re-encoding to proper reels format (1080x1920, short intro movement, keep it under 30-60s) and maybe upload directly from phone once and compare… you’ll notice more consistency
