Facebook Spend Today

Guys Meta today spent more than the camp budget more than 10k without any sale spend it in one hour whats going on meta?
Have you noticed inconsistencies today on your spend as well, same goes for results.
They definitely made another algorithmic error, leading to an uneven distribution of data. This money is wasted, but Meta won't give it back to us anyway.

Could be a Meta glitch, but I'd still check bidding, rules, and budget settings before blaming the algo.
When spend goes crazy that fast, sometimes the account setup is helping Meta burn you.

Seems they purposely do this some time to be honest
Although,this is clearly a glitch
But would they refund..that's where the problem is

What you should do is:
Pause the campaign to re-check audience, bid, and placement.
Check Billing & Payment to see if there are actual charges.
Contact Meta Support if there are unusual deductions → request a refund or explanation.
Restart a small campaign and test before scaling up.
Conclusion: It's usually a setup and algorithm issue, rarely a truly serious error.

It seems like the meta is experiencing widespread bugs, and many people are complaining about it. You should temporarily pause important campaigns to avoid unnecessary expenses or maintain them on a low budget for now.

Meta might be experiencing a "spend spike" after the ads were launched or targeting a broad audience, causing the budget to be consumed rapidly in a short period. You should review your bidding, audience, and set clear daily spending limits, or pause the campaign to avoid further burn-out and then re-optimize

Yeah, seen this happen before.
Sometimes Meta just pushes spend aggressively within a short window, especially if it thinks it found a potential pocket of traffic.
But the problem is — spend scales faster than conversion, so you end up burning budget with no results.
Could be:
  • learning phase instability
  • sudden change in auction competition
  • or low-quality traffic spike

Some metas will have inflated prices like that, so you need to pay attention regularly to stay updated and avoid losing a large budget without achieving results.

While you're experiencing this problem, my campaign has been running all day without spending anything. I don't understand what Facebook is having this issue either. It's really frustrating.

I oppened a ticket right away requesting a refund, I lost a big amount yesterday, hope they refund it otherwise I will be very mad
I've tried many times, confronting them to demand my money back, but they never return it. They usually give evasive answers and then blame me.

Yeah, same here. Meta's been crazy with spend today. No sales, just burning through the budget fast. Something’s definitely off.

This rarely happens, but I've encountered it a few times. Is your campaign active at the end of the day or the beginning of the day? Because usually, if it's at the end of the day, Meta tends to try to get all your daily budget spent at once, regardless of whether you achieve results or not
If it's at the beginning of the day and you've already spent that much, it's an error, and you should report it to support immediately with your campaign log as proof

Meta has been overspending like crazy lately — lots of people are seeing accounts burn 5-10k+ in just one hour with zero sales. This usually happens when the algorithm is in aggressive learning mode or using Advantage+ budgets.
The quickest fix is to pause the campaign immediately, wait 30-60 minutes, then relaunch with manual daily budget at ad set level and tighter targeting. Duplicating the campaign with a much lower starting budget also helps regain control fast.

From experience running ads on Facebook Ads Manager, this kind of sudden overspend (burning budget fast with no results) usually points to a delivery glitch or aggressive pacing issue, not normal performance. Meta sometimes front-loads spend to “test” audiences, but if it’s extreme (like 10k in 1 hour), it’s often a system inconsistency affecting multiple advertisers that day. The first thing I always do is pause campaigns immediately, check breakdown by placement and time, and cap risk with an account spending limit—then monitor if others are reporting the same issue. In most cases, it stabilizes after a few hours, but you should treat it as a platform-side anomaly, not a targeting or creative problem.

Freaking meta is going crazy sometimes and it totally makes you hate it.

Currently, we are still making money through meta, and it seems they understand this and are covering up the unreasonable expenses.

I think it's a distribution error in Facebook's algorithm; what a waste of money.
