Looking for OF chatter job, privacy concerns about signing a contract

I am looking for a job as OF chatter, and as far as I got mostly to Discord servers from agencies that hire, everyone asks for making a selfie video with ID showing off and answering some questions. This is suspiciously sensitive info they are asking for from my understanding. LLMs said that this is too much they are asking for, even if they are legit, there could be serious privacy concerns. I see many people are doing this, but maybe they don't care much. What do you think about this, should I proceed further to get hired, or better not to take a serious risk?

Its a scam. For sure. lol don't be so desperate to make money, and be a little e-whore. It can take you into dangerous scamming territory.

Take your time to check the agency’s reputation and only proceed when you feel confident and safe about the arrangement.

The ID plus selfie video requirement is not automatic proof of a scam - legitimate agencies require it too because they are giving you access to creator accounts and explicit content. They need to know who they hired if something goes wrong. Most professional operations ask for it.

The difference is in what comes before and after. A legitimate agency will send you a proper employment contract before asking for personal documents. They will also have a verifiable presence somewhere - a real website, listings on agency directories, or other chatters you can actually reach and ask about their experience.

A scam operation follows a different pattern: they rush the ID request, they do not provide a contract first, and after you send the documents they either ghost or pivot to asking something from you - a small fee, a crypto payment, or equipment you need to buy.

Before sending anything, ask for the contract and do a quick check on the agency. Search their name here on BHW, look for their website, check if any other chatters have reviewed them. If they cannot show you any of that before asking for your ID, walk away.

The chatting work itself is real and pays decently if you find a legitimate agency. The due diligence step just takes 30 minutes and it is worth it.

If something goes wrong - leaks, unauthorized transactions, platform bans - they need to know who they hired. Most professional operations ask for identity verification.

Before sharing anything: ask for the employment contract first. Then look the agency up - search their name here, check Google, try to find other chatters who have worked with them. Thirty minutes of digging tells you almost everything you need to know. If they cannot show you a contract and some kind of verifiable presence before asking for your documents, walk away.

The privacy concerns are serious, OFM operates in a legal grey area, and most agencies are run by 20 something yo guys on their Windows laptops from home. What are the chances that your sensitive private data stays safe in a setup like that?
Another issue is that they often ask for the selfie with ID before you even start training or sign any contract. You end up sending your private data to multiple agencies before you’re even hired, which makes a bad situation even worse. More importantly, I don’t want my real name connected to this kind of chatting activity at all. I want to stay as private as possible in this industry.
There are still some OF agencies that don’t ask for this kind of verification, but they’re definitely not the majority anymore like they were a few years ago.
Personally, as a chatter, this has become a big problem for me lately because more and more agencies are starting to demand it.
So you should be very careful with your private data in situations like this.

Sounds kinda risky to me to be honest.
I mean even if the agency is totally legit and everything works well for now or even 1-2 months/years.
How can i know that in the future my credintials are safe? What if the owner of the agency change direction to more fishy schemes and use or even sell my data/identification.
This is kinda high risk / small reward situation that would keep me out

Asking for ID or identification documents is definitely a scam. Why not look for other jobs, bro? They might ask you to film with your ID just to extort money from you.

I also think that would violate your privacy and expose quite a bit of your personal information.

Most recruiting companies require this information. Just like when you sign up for job platforms such as Upwork or Fiverr, KYC is required, and that is completely normal.

Any legal work, either online or offline requires ID for verification purposes and also for age. I don't see any problems asking for ID and Face Verification, especially in OF related works, they ask if for age requirements, because there are some people applying that is minor aged. And also, they will give you an account model to manage, so it's very concerning if they will give it to someone random.

That's a little suspicious, besides you wont be even showing your face while you're chatting. But maybe to avoid scammers as well.

There are OF agencies that does not require any verifications like that

Identity verification is normal in the adult industry, but doing it through random Discord recruiters can be risky. I would only do it if the company is verified and has a real website and reputation.

You can ask them for their registered business name, their physical office address and proof of business incorporation.
Do not be a victim of data-harvesting scam or at the worst, identity theft.
