Promoting online casinos as an affiliate. Is there a chance that it can still work this way ?

Hey everyone!
Of course that is not like a genius or brand new idea but let me tell you what i was thinking and also my concerns about it.
If anyone has any advice/input or has done something similar, i would love to hear your insights.

So the other day i was scrolling around YT shorts and a clip of some ppl gambling on slots appeared, so the following idea popped up.

I was thinking to create a website that will have different casino offers that i will be the affiliate and promote it through YT shorts.

So my concerns are:
1) Is it worth the time and effort and will it have any good returns? (asking for people who have experience with this since i am not aware and trying to learn)
2) Am i allowed to advertise the link directly on the video or do i have to put it in the short's descriptions?
3) Will i have any issues if i use videos of other people online gambling but cropped or hide their webcam or something like that?
4) Are you allowed to promote gambling video like slots or online games on other platforms without any issues? Other than youtube i mean

I haven't done much research myself so far since i thought of posting here to see if anyone has an experience with it already.
I know that it is something that is being done through the years as i already mentioned but was thinking to give it a shot.

Also i am a graphic design with knowledge in graphic/photo/video editing software so it would be easier for me to create videos and advertisements for it.
This will be a side-hustle project, is there a chance it brings any bucks back or it's a dead case?

P.S.: I am kinda new to this forum so if posted on wrong section, please enlighten me, thanks again!

Yeah i was thinking to make a landing page for my offers. What i meant with the link on the video was to put the link of my landing page.
 
Yes, its still working and can bring money but the cost of entry and required expierence there is very high now

Some people can make money with side-hustle affiliate ideas like this, but normally, success depends on how good the traffic is, how often you promote it, and how many offers actually convert. Since this is your first time on the forum, it could be a good idea to keep learning, start small, and talk to other members who have worked on comparable projects.

Considering the amount i guess what you said with the traffic is true. Cause if no/low traffic then i guess the amount will not be worth it. But i will see if the traffic isnt much, i will try different ways too other than videos
 
Not many people use this method to make money with online betting affiliate programs. Most advertising platforms prohibit this model, so running ads stably is very difficult and costly. As a result, most people choose SEO as the best approach.

Okay i see.
I have seen people on YT though or streamers on TTV etc that promote casinos that way.
Maybe i didnt understand correctly what you meant by that cause it doesnt seem costly to me to create a video showcasing some big bets or bonus buys on slots and uploading as a YT short to attract ppl.
Not sure if that is going to work considering the "attraction part" but I dont see a problem costwise
 
YT Shorts for casino affiliate is one of the better current traffic plays. The algorithm pushes gambling content pretty aggressively and the CPCs on retargeting from that audience are decent.

A few practical things to note. YouTube does not allow direct affiliate links in Shorts descriptions in most GEOs so you need a landing page in between. The landing page also lets you track conversions properly and build a retargeting list for the people who click but do not deposit immediately.

On the program side, the CPA vs RevShare choice matters a lot. CPA typically pays $100 to $300 per depositing player depending on the GEO, which is predictable income. RevShare pays 25 to 45% of net revenue for life, which is better long term if your players are sticky. Most people starting out take CPA until they understand their traffic quality, then switch to RevShare on the GEOs where they know they are sending real gamblers.

Compliance is real. UK requires affiliates to hold their own license which makes it not worth it for individuals starting out. US is state by state and complicated. Easier GEOs to start in are Canada, New Zealand, and the Nordics - less regulatory friction and decent CPAs.

What GEO is your primary audience going to be? That determines which programs and approaches make the most sense to start with.

As long as the content is engaging enough, you can still attract customers to participate in the games and earn commissions from them.
 
You might have incorrectly linked your product, which will prevent you from receiving affiliate commissions. Please double-check your link, bro.
 
Your idea isn’t new, but that doesn’t mean it no longer has potential.
In affiliate marketing, execution matters more than originality.
 
Regarding gambling advertising content, it is quite challenging, and I have tried it but was almost always rejected. You need to find an expert in this field to have strong enough accounts to pass the review.
