My Experience With Domain Names and Parking Revenue

I’ve experimented with domain names and parking at different times, mainly with unused domains. In my experience, domain parking only generated noticeable results when the domains already had some type-in traffic or existing backlinks.
For domains without prior traffic, parking didn’t produce much revenue and often felt stagnant. The value seemed to depend more on the quality and relevance of the domain name than the number of parked domains.
Overall, domain parking worked for me more as a way to recover small holding costs rather than as a serious income stream. It felt more suitable as a supplementary option than a primary monetization method.

People are making big bags with domain parking and traffic arbitrage. You need
1) traffic source most common are facebook and native traffic, taboola, outbrain and mgid and not the shitty ones. Stay away from those.
2) you need a network that pays you for domain arbitrage traffic. Sav, tonic, system1 etc. None of these networks will approve you to make money from traffic arbitrage easily. You need a big budget, a team, previous experience traffic. Blah blah blah. And I don't know where you can buy account or how to get approved.
3) a spytool to find out what kind of ads are converting. I know adplexity has traffic arbitrage data. I have seen it myself. I don't know anstrex had it or not.
Lot of hurdle to overcome. And for what the margins are very low like 5 to 15%
Not my cup of tea.
Either way there is no way you can make money with organic traffic you need to be a media buyer.

This is exactly right, the concept sounds appealing but the reality is much different.

I have a theory about what really happens. In such high risk businesses lot of money laundering is involved. Even if their is negative ROI. It's fine with money launderers as the money coming out is washed out clean money.

Parking really only works when the domain already has traffic, such as type-ins, old backlinks, or some kind of existing demand. If a domain starts at zero, parking doesn’t magically create value, it just sits there.

tbh domain parking is a legacy play in 26 if ur just relying on type-ins . browsers basically force everyone into a search bar or an app now so direct navigation traffic is at an all-time low
the only guys actually making bag like im dude mentioned are doing heavy native arbitrage (taboola / outbrain) . they aren't parking domains .. they are building dynamic landing pages that look like news sites and siphoning that traffic to premium ad feeds ( tonic / system1 )
if u have a portfolio of 0-traffic domains ur better off using them for 301 redirects to boost a healthy money site or setting up a programmatic p-seo layer .
passive parking revenue is basically just a way to pay for ur yearly renewals now . unless u want to become a full-time media buyer and dance with 5-10% margins , dont bother with the classicparking setup . the money laundering theory might be a bit of a stretch tho .. mostly its just massive scale and high-tier accounts that beginners can't touch
focus on the link equity of the domains instead of the parking revenue . its a much faster roi

I switched to NakamaID after a few bad purchases elsewhere, much smoother so far.
