I recently created an Adult Forum.
I wonder how to get people to post content there (I allow people to post linkvertise/admaven/etc).
Currently it has 2 DR already according to AHREFS (I have an adult website which is 11 DR and another one at 7DR, both do follow for the forum)

Since I'm using Xenforo, SEO is quite good for the forum (while Google is still not fucking me up for being adult content)

I sent the forum to a bunch of websites, directories etc, mainly for backlinks, but I wonder how to get people to access the forum to get content and also convince people to post content (currently im the only one posting new content there - a couple replies from other users)

Any idea?

Forums are one of the hardest things to grow since it often comes from a need or interest. There are very few "Gaming forums" but they are split between games.
Either way most forums have very appealing frontpage they use to drive traffic that are often highly SEO optimised.

I think you should scrape the content from others forum's just to populate your forum,

This is a very difficult field to develop. You need to monitor and pay close attention to the metrics to avoid having your page shut down.

I mastered phpBB and MyBB scripts. After running two forums for around a year, I saw that all the spammers were coming just to create backlinks, and handling a forum alone wasn’t easy. In the beginning, I used to post a thread and then reply to it myself from different IDs. Later, I shut everything down.

Something similar happened to me too. I maintained the site for a couple of years with multiple accounts for fake activity. There are many real users and some traffic from Google and social media pages, but I was not happy with the page growth and abandoned it. It's difficult to grow forums without considerable marketing budget.

I'm not sure what niche you're in, as "Adult" is a broad term, but I would suggest not focusing just on Google for traffic, but instead go for Bing. They're much more lenient when it comes to adult content. Not only that but once your site is indexed on Bing, it will also rank on Yahoo, Ecosia, DuckDuckGo, and other search engines powered by Bing, many of which are used by people looking for Porn. Keep in mind that a lot of these "directory" sites will only link to you once you have some traffic, until then, your site won't be useful to them either.

Secondly, I would not recommend allowing users to share Linkvertise or other types of link shorteners. Doing so will likely result in your forum being spammed to death with these links, and users will post only to make money rather than contribute good content for the rest of the visitors. Also, each time someone clicks one of these links, visitor will leave your forum to go to an external site. You should always aim to keep users on-site.
Since you're using XenForo, you can easily integrate something like jpg6, jpgjet, or any other Chevereto based platform using their upload plugin to display images directly within forum posts.

There are already established adult forums that have been around for decades. You'll find it very difficult (putting it mildly) to compete with them or to take their users away

Starting any forum is brutal at the beginning, nobody wants to post in an empty room, so you end up carrying it yourself for months, pulling in a few power users if you can, and keeping expectations low until it finally looks active enough for organic users to stick.

You need a unique topic—one that doesn't exist anywhere else. A niche topic. And even then, the challenges will remain. (It's precisely because of these challenges that I no longer create forums like this, even though I do have a topic in mind.)

Since you allow Linkvertise and AdMaven you need to target the content creators themselves. Find other leak / adult forums or telegram groups and let them know they can freely drop their monetized links on your site
